Creating TpT Products, Saving as PDF and Locking Images, Creating Editable Files

I had a few videos on my blog that are floating aruond pinterest in the past few days that I would love to share with you :)

I've been receiving floods of emails asking me how to create products for TeachersPayTeachers! (and I love it) If you aren't already signed up click here to join the party!  I created a simple video to help you get started. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to email me!

Recently I can across a slight issue with my files that I just couldn't figure out. Being a techy girl I thought I was going to rip my hair out trying to fix something that was so easy! Now I don't feel so bad because a few other TpT teachers are having the same issue so I don't feel alone :)

If you are a TpT creator you know that PDF's become your best friends! But what do you do to get rid of that dreaded white border??? And how do you lock down those cutsie little images?? Look no further!

After creating videos the past two days about how to get started on teacherspayteachers and how to save PowerPoint files as PDF's a few of you have asked how I create my editable files... so of course I had to answer that in a video too :)  If you aren't already signed up for TeachersPayTeachers click here to join the party! If you have any questions or concerns feel free to email me!

Hope this helps!!

My Second Job

Good morning fellow Pinterest addicts!  It's Megan from I Teach. What's Your Super Power?

So I teach third grade (and love it!) all day.  Then I finish that up and come home to my second job.  Mom.  As part of that job, I am apparently supposed to provide my children with food that doesn't induce too much mom guilt.  Does my husband help cook?  Yes, sometimes.  But he gets home much later than me most days and I'm not waiting until 7:00 to eat.  I'm hungry people.  He does do all the grocery shopping though.  Jealous?

Moving back on track.  I had a revelation this morning.  I've become one of "those" moms.  I remember listening to them in the lounge in my early twenties, internally but lovingly rolling my eyes as they discussed their recipes.  Their crockpot recipes people.  And now, look at me.  I'm all over Pinterest looking for this business.

But!  It makes my second job so much easier.  And my family is super impressed by me.  And it's easier than regular cooking.  But I don't tell them that.

Here are some of the pins on Pinterest I've tried and have my families stamp of approval:

Chicken Tortilla Soup
Makes your house smell soooooo yummy.  I made the mistake of making this on a Saturday when my parents were coming over for a football game.  The smell tortured us all day.

Pot Roast
My daughter has already requested this for her birthday.  11 months in advance.

This was last nights dinner.  Everyone went back for seconds and there was still enough to freeze.

I have officially turned into my mother.  I'm discussing crock pot recipes and putting leftovers in the freezer.  Sigh.

Here are a few more quickies for those rushed dinner nights.  FYI: That would be every night in my house.

My mother-in-law liked these.  I say this like she's hard to please.  She's actually super nice.

We add shrimp to this one and call it good.

These are fun for breakfast for dinner. You can cook everything else and not have to babysit the eggs. Plus, who doesn't want a cupcake for dinner?

That's all ladies!  I hope you'll find at least one recipe to make dinnertime a little easier.  Stop by and see me sometime!

Patriotic Pride

As I sat down to type this post, I quickly became very emotional....as always when thinking about those who commit to military service for their country.

I've always been very patriotic, but after marrying a Marine and having a Marine brother,  my patriotism reached a new level.

My husband served in the first Gulf War.  In fact, he was on deployment when our first son was born!  My brother served two tours during the second Gulf War.

Thankfully, they both came home!

When I think about Veterans Day, I do feel a huge sense of pride - a little tug at my heart.

For this Pin Party, I decided to share some images that tug on my heart and stir the pride I have for my husband, my brother, and every other service person defending their country.
