Classroom Decor

This is my first post here on Endless Pinabilities, so first I want to say hello and thank Tanja for letting me share my Pinterest addiction in this space. I'm Heather, and I blog about my classroom and all things teaching over at The Wild Rumpus:
I'm an official Pinterest junkie, and this began last summer when I was looking for ideas to freshen up my classroom space.  I thought that I would share some of my favorite inspirational pins about classroom decor to kick off the New Year.  First, these globes just make me smile.  Even though the fire marshall would die if I ever did this, it reminded me that ambiance, both at home and in the classroom, is important:
Speaking of the fire marshall, this pin was super helpful and is pinned all over the place:
Next up, this organization and loveliness helped me to get the clutter out of the way.  Even though my space is not even close to this pretty, I still aspire:
This is something I've been dying to pull together as well.  Maybe I'll find the time soon:
This book club organization is pretty nice as well:
Next up, my door.  This pin inspired me to be a little more creative with my door decor.  I've had 2 different ones this year so far, and I'm ruminating upon what's next right now:
Finally, this pin led me down the path of a) my own classroom color scheme do-over and b) my obsession with Dollar Tree.  Oh, those baskets...
Here they are in my room:
I'm sure I'll find myself sucked into the black hole of new lovely classroom pins that make me want to do a complete re-do next summer, but for now, these are my faves! Thanks for looking.

  1. Love that birdie door pin! Our fire marshall won't allow us to put anything on our doors. Boo.

  2. Isn't it cute?! Our fire marshall isn't big on it either, but it's ok as long as we don't cover the window on the door.
