Favourite Advice

One of my favourite boards to pin to on Pinterest is my Advice for my Kids.

I started it as advice to be sure to pass along to my baby, who's only four months old right now, but over time I've realized that many of them would be good advice to pass to my classroom students, and many others to my Sunday school students.

I'd like to share with you a few of my favs.

I've actually made myself a Superhero themed version of this one for my classroom. To grab you own copy, visit my blog here.

Tried and LOVED Recipes

Okay so bootcamp OFFICIALLY started for me this week, and I have already gone 4 times! Tomorrow will make the fifth, and then I get a nice Sunday break! With all my working out, I have been trying to eat healthier and definitely not eat out. I wanted to share a few recipes that I have actually tried and really enjoyed. Most have been quite easy as well!

Alfredo and Tomato Basil Pasta. This recipe calls for you to make your own alfredo sauce and blanch and score tomatoes. I felt very professional after making this recipe and it was good!

Bourbon Chicken. Oh super yum! Amazingly easy, a little sweet and great with brown rice. Next time I would definitely double up the sauce though.

Blackened chicken, quinoa, in an avocado cream sauce. This was great! I am finding a love for quinoa!

AND PEOPLE!! Chicken Enchilada Pasta. I've posted this before but if you have NOT made it yet, what are you waiting for??!? My all time favorite recipe. DO IT.

And for those beginning cooks, like myself, this has proved super helpful! This has a ton of great do and do nots when it comes to cooking.

And since I'm eating healthier, so are my dogs! Great recipes to make them some yummy non-processed treats!

I'll leave you with this little ecard gem:

Do you have any pinterest tried and LOVED recipes? Please please share them! I need more!

Award Time

The lovely ladies at EP just got our first award from All Things Teachery :)

We may be breaking rule number 3 (naming 5 other blogs) but there are soooo many of you out there, we can't pick just 5. But if you'd like the award, go ahead and take it.

And of course we had to make this EP related...so here are some award pins!

DIY Wipe Off Board

Hey everyone! I'm loving all the ideas popping up on EP!

This next craft was inspired by this:

Now I really love this, but I had to change a few things up. First off, I know I'd have the best intentions of putting a menu up each week, but I know that won't always happen. So I did put the days of the week, but didn't use my Cricut, I just wrote the days of the week. And I didn't put "menu" on top.

Border is The 3 AM Teacher and background is Mel Stampz.

First I got a frame from the Dollar Tree. I like the size of it but the one on Pinterest is 12x12 if you want a bigger frame and my Dollar Tree doesn't carry that size.

First you need a frame and your scrapbook paper to start with. I chose a lined scrapbook paper that looks like it's for school. Oh and I tried out Instagram to snap these shots :)

I hand wrote the days of the week and then added other. But you could totally print labels or Cricut it.

Now there are so many options of what to use it for!

I really love the ribbon with the dry erase marker attached. I never have to hunt for one. And I bought a 3pack of red, blue, and black at the Dollar Tree. These markers have eraser caps too! Score :)
