Jumbo Paper Clip Bookmarks

Ever since I saw pics floating around on Pinterest from the blog Altered to Perfection of these clip bookmarks, I knew I wanted to make them!

What you need:
  • Ribbon
  • Jumbo paper clips
  • Scissors
That's it! I got my clips at Michael's.

My Jumbo clips in green, purple, pink, and blue.

Picked out some coordinating ribbon.

The purple and green clips have three ribbons. They'll be gifts for two of my teacher gal pals I'll see tomorrow.

The blue and pink clips have only two ribbons on them, but I love them like that!
They turned out soooo cute!

From Pin to Reality

Hi! It's Megan from I Teach. What's Your Super Power?

We all love Pinterest. A lot. I think I have a gazillion pins and probably half of them are education related. Today, I thought I'd share some "Real Life Pins": ideas that made it from Pinterest into my classroom!

I love this! I put LEARN instead of CREATE.

I love Kristin's CRAFT (for reading) and VOICES (for writing) headers. I actually had to remake them myself to fit on my board. But what an awesome idea!

I have a focus board this year! Nothing's on it yet, but I'll get there . . . .

I loved these shared journals. I used the idea and made my own set of covers that you can download here.
Enjoy!

Back to School Essentials

Hi! It's Mrs. D from Reading with Mrs. D here, and I'm going to share a few pins I want to have prepped for my future classroom. (Hmm.. I really need to change my button to correspond with the rest of the blog...)

YourSiteTitle

1. A book Hospital.
I used to designate a corner of my desk, but the books I hadn't gotten to yet always inevitably got covered by papers.

2.  A Chart stand.
I LOVED the stand in my first class, but haven't had one since. I looked at the price in the scholastic catalogue and figured it would take too many years of voucher collecting and not using them for free books, which wasn't ideal. What better than a DIY version? I'll need two, one for my pocket chart, and one for chart paper.

3. A reading Nook.
Any kind will do. A tent like the picture, a castle or a cardboard box! Just someplace special as a choice for independent reading.

4. A way to let students know it's not time to come to my desk.
Does this have a name?
How often have you had students who wander over to your desk when you're in a conference with another student or teacher? This may help!

5. A birthday display.
I LOVE the idea of putting students faces with their birthdays!

6. A Love Notebook.
My wall by my desk is always ridiculously full of love from my kiddos, notes on top of notes, buried until June 30th.

Thanks for checking out my pins!

BTS Party and Subs

Welcome to the party! I've enjoyed the pins so far and can't wait to see the rest still coming!

As you all know, I'm a substitute teacher. There's nothing that I love better than a prepared teacher for a substitute! A sub tub or binder with info, lesson plans, and spare activities are so helpful.

Oh NO! I Need to Plan!

Hey it's Amber from

Can you believe that it's already time to go back to school?

I'm not going to lie. I've been awfully focused on creating a super cute and fun classroom!
But, what about those first few days of school?
Here are some pins I've found that can give us some help and inspiration! Click on each picture to go to the original pin.
First day of school.
Great way to start a discussion, open up and share!
Building a Classroom Community by creating an "Our Family" Board. Students bring in family pictures
Love this! Students bring in pictures of their family and share with the class.  Then they are added to the bulletin board.
Recipe for success- first day of school activity. So thoughtful...it actually made me tear up when reading the recipe for success! Doing this for sure!
A Recipe for Success!

Back to School, Back to School...to Prove to Dad I'm Not a Fool!

Hey yall! Natalie here :)

Who doesn't love Billy Madison, right? Hehe!

Alright, are you guys ready to party???

So I'm here today to share some of my favorite Back to School pins for you. I mean, this was the best homework assignment EVER!

In no particular order, here are some of my favorite pins to get us busy teachers out of our shorts and flipflops and back into waking up at 5am...

Step into 2nd Grade with Mrs. Lemons: More Cameo Fun :)

Okay, so this is not a new idea by any means. But I just LOVE the cute little words she added using her Cameo! I most definitely have added this little gizmo to my wishlist :)

These are a MUST for the primary grades that are still learning to tell time. And these cute little ones are zebra striped! Adorable!

So we all probably say some version of this rhyme with our littles. Personally, I always used the "...and you don't pitch a fit!" Living in the south, 'get' and 'fit' rhyme just perfectly :)

However, I love Holly's version so much more! And these are free, my friends!

I saw these last year and am dying to make them! Perfect back to school treat for the littles to give during Meet the Teacher night!

Lasty, and I say that begrudgingly because I could go on forever, we all need a perfect first day of school outfit, right?

This would be amazing...

I especially love the red shoes!!!

Love all my pins? Be sure to follow my boards!

And gooooood luck on your first day back, friends!
